Meet Raven

Raven is a queer, disabled author born and raised in Essex, England. They specialise in contemporary science-fantasy, exploring the real life drama of our world wrapped in a fantastical, magical and often dark and dangerous mythos. Occasionally they also delve into worldbuilding: their original worlds combine the rich mystery of fantasy with a modern-day attitude

Raven was once told their ambition to write for a living was them “living in fairyland”. Ten years later they wear elf ears on the regular and write stories full time, reclaiming the fantasies that kept them alive in a world not made for the weird and wonderful. Their childhood was spent moving from small town to small town, isolated from their peers due to bullying and abuse, and these experiences inform a lot of their stories -- they write for the unheard, the lonely and the underrepresented, hoping to give someone somewhere a small taste of the same comfort they felt in the stories they grew up with.
